Since its inception in 1996, GLOBAL3 has developed and operated five cogeneration facilities and three industrial carbon dioxide production plants in Aragon, Cataluña and the Canary Islands, thus becoming one of the most experienced independent developers in Spain.

In view of the significant growth potential offered by the Spanish power market and the increasing risk of brownouts and blackouts during peak demand periods, GLOBAL3 made the strategic decision to focus on developing large-scale projects for the main power pool, with the primary objective of offering supply guarantee services to the grid.
